Five years ago our city (Royal Oak, Michigan) decided to put on a cruise for people with old, classic cars. It was quite the event. People came from all around and had a ball. The temperature was wonderful and everyone had such a good time that they decided to do it again. Well, as I said in the beginning, this is the 5th year and we're now up to a million and a half people in a four square mile radius.
The temperature again was wonderful and everyone just has the best time. People come from all over the country now, hauling their classic cars and driving them down our main strip, "Woodward Avenue". It has become an annual event and something we all look forward to. People line the streets with their lawn chairs and picnic baskets and coolers and make a great day of it.
Below are just a few of the pictures I've taken (with my Mavica FD91), and you can see all the spectators, cars and everything that's going on. I wish I had more.
Get ready, get set, LET'S GO!
